Girls of Paintball: Destiny Tryouts, All-Female Team

Read more about Destiny: socialpaintball.com It was at the 2012 Surf City USA Open when she decided it was time to bring back Destiny, especially after competing with two of her former teammates, Kat Secor and Katie Kelley. Playing alongside them made her happy and the passion for paintball returned deep within her heart. And now, Destiny is back, with former Destiny players who have played on her team before. Coming back to the team are Kat Secor (2007 Female Paintball Player of the Year), Brittany Wagoner (2008 Female Paintball Player of the Year), Katie Kelley, Jackie Lon, and Becky Rai. With six girls on Destinys roster, they plan to compete in the NPPL and PSP as a D3 team. If all goes well, theyll be back to playing at the D2 level in 2013. Other former Destiny players have been invited to play again, too, so dont be surprised if you see others that have previously played on the team as far back as the 2004 original roster like Kaarin Schroepfer, Ashley Noble, Michelle Chavez, Evelyn Choi, Seanette Taylor, or Mona Hejazi. Starting a new paintball team...

This video I talk a little bit about starting a paintball team. Here is my advice- 1) if you have never played on a team, go join someone else team first. Youll learn alot 2) Once you have some tournament experience on someone elses team, then you can start your own 3) First get organized. Team name, website, etc 4) Buy a stack of jerseys that are cheap and on sale. Right now, companies are practically giving away 06 and 07 line jerseys. This is a great, cheap way to start a uniform and looking alike. This shows other people you are serious about your team 5) Start traveling to different fields to recruit players. Have flyers handy with your team name, goals, fees, practice schedule, etc 6) Once you have your core players, make the new players be on probation for 30 days. This will prevent team-hoppers jumping on your team just for tournaments. 7) Show up the field ready to play. Try to finish your practices by noon. Bust your ass hardcore and play hard to get better. 8) Always play teams better than you. You will learn nothing from beating on easy teams. In golf they have a rule "When you suck, play fast". Same in paintball. If a good team is willing to play you, dont fuck around. Get out there ASAP and earn their respect! 9) Paint Pool- every should bring a case of inspected, quality paint to practice, and everyone should just grab paint from the paint pool. 11 players = 11 cases of paint. This way, no one has to worry about conserving paint. Everyone pools from the <b>...<b>
